I have been home from the Type A Parent conference for several days now. For anyone who does not know about this blog conference, it is an amazing few days organized by @TypeAMom and focuses on bringing bloggers together, to talk development, strategy, technique, and more. I have yet to figure out exactly how to digest all that I learned, all that I thought about, all that I want to do now for the future. So for now, I leave you with a pictorial representation of the more social side of the conference.
@TechSavvyMama makes a great roomie! And doesn’t she look great in her @freshproducenow dress?
The L.O.F.T. in the adorable downtown of Asheville. To say that we were sucked in and barely made it out alive would be an understatement.
The DC Moms with it’s honorary members @lovethatmax and @MrsStrick.
Switching glasses with @teachmama on the lovely patio. (right before we went upstairs for delish cupcakes sent to us by @mommy4cocktails)
Such a lovely site at 7:30 am.Yes, I swam in it. For 30 whole minutes.
@resourcefulmom @techsavvymama and I trying on our neon thanks to @coloradomom. How could we not win the dance competition dressed in those colors?
Leg warmers to fit our 80′s themed costumes made by the amazing @1momof5 for our dancing debut!
#teamleticia getting it’s groove on at the Ubisoft & Clever Girls closing night party! We may or may not have been a bit confident in our skills. We also may or may not have been ever so slightly obnoxious.
One of the highlights of the conference, getting to know @1momof5 better and truly bonding.
Another highlight, finally getting to meet @frelle, who is truly a kind and beautiful soul. Notice that I was still in the neon. It would have been anti-climactic to change.
Yet another highlight (no, not having my eyes closed), sharing wine and friendship with @dearbadkitty. Not her hair is not really blue. Talk about getting in tune with the Smurf theme of the party, this Clever Girl, rocked her newly found wig.
Breakfast on the last morning at the Green Sage Cafe with @techsavvymama and @centsiblelife. Those would be grits with green salsa, an egg white omelet, and sweet potato fries. DELISH.
There you have it…..a brief glimpse into some of my conference highlights. There were other people who I came to cherish, so much more learning that I want to share, and so many more reflections and insights that I hope will turn into action plans. There will also hopefully be other, better pictures, but for now, I leave you with nightmares of seeing both neon and grits in the same post.

Everything I’ve seen from Type A Con makes it look like so much fun! I really want to go next year!
It was truly fantastic. It was only my second conference (first was BlogHer10), but this was so intimate, so focused on networking, and so informative with great sessions. I highly recommend it!
*sigh*
I am SO glad we got to meet and spend time together, and talk, and hug, and connect in person. That was a major highlight of my conference experience as well. You got some wonderful pictures with some great people, and Im so glad to learn more about what you did and what you saw!!
Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing these photos. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Please stop by and see mine
Now you’re making me really sad that I didn’t get my butt on over to the pool. And I was near it so often, too. Bah on me! Next year – right?
Great pics and a fun recap!
I had a blast there. It was my first conference and first time traveling outside of the New England area. I was very amazed at the positive energy that surrounded this get together and hope to go again. You have some awesome pics shared here!
It was so nice getting to meet you, Elena. Type-A is a fantastic conference for bonding, learning, eating and sharing. LOVE!
Sounds like a great time. Sorry I missed it. I keep hearing/reading good things about it.
It is a conference that I think will become an annual trip for me. I am excited for BlogHer but I have a feeling that the amount of learning that took place will be hard to beat.
